Scrutinising Johnson’s actions and facial expression, the sincerity on his face is lacking also in the gesture of saluting. Does he have the right to salute?
Whilst as prime minister, he may be the head of the armed services as a non-military politician, you would suppose he would be shown or would have the integrity to learn how to salute correctly.
This perception could be argued that he didn’t care at the time of this gesture, or perhaps there was no food for thought in preparation.
